Derek Chauvin reportedly just got stabbed by another inmate at The Federal Correctional Institution in Tuscon, Arizona. It’s supposedly a medium-security prison with less than 400 inmates, and they are blaming security lapses and staffing shortages.

All the information revealed about this stabbing is a copy-and-paste job from an Associate Press report. Someone “familiar with the matter” but not authorized to publicly discuss details of the attack, spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity.

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that an incarcerated person was assaulted at FCI Tucson at around 12:30 p.m. local time on Friday, November 24th, 2023.

What did they stab him with that caused serious injury? Who knew you can have weapons in a medium-security prison? In a statement, the agency said responding employees contained the incident and performed ''life-saving measures'' before the inmate was taken to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Chauvin's stabbing comes as the federal Bureau of Prisons has faced increased scrutiny in recent years following Jeffrey Epstein's supposed-suicide in 2019.
