While the nation was getting ready for Thanksgiving festivities, former cop Derek Chauvin was about to get shanked in a medium-security prison in Arizona. This is on the heels of a new film The Fall of Minneapolis and the Supreme Court rejecting Derek Chauvin’s appeal. All within less than a month! Amazing.
Given my exhaustive investigative work ( a movie and an upcoming book) on this historical case, I tried to get some answers. On Friday night, I called the Federal Correctional Institute. The men who responded didn’t even seem to know who Derek was, even though the facility only has about 392 inmates. I was put on hold and then I was sent into oblivion. You can listen to the call here.
On Saturday, Kerry Cassidy sent me a now-deleted tweet from a handle called “@tracker_deep” stating Derek was dead. My jaw literally dropped. Was this real? This is a developing story that conveniently broke during a long weekend. In other words, there was scant information other than the copy-and-paste job of the presstitutes and parrots, aka the ‘media whores’ as Sean of SGT calls them.
So was Derek dead? I quickly found the number of the hospital and called the Tuscon Medical Center. The first person had no idea whether Derek was even there, let alone dead. Another woman cited HIPPA before conceding that maybe the entire thing was fake. She passed me on to another person who also told me that there was no patient on file with that name.
WTF?
“Are you sure,” I asked. “Can we confirm with someone else?”
Finally, I was forwarded to a “Max” in Security.
max security.
Well, Max could not say yay or nay. Meanwhile, reports had come out that Derek was in stable condition. Was he dead or was he in stable condition? Was he even at that hospital? Max told me I would need to call on Monday.

Tracker DEEP Full of Bunk
Later that Saturday, I checked Twitter (yeah I am deadnaming), and “@deep_tracker,” the handle that had claimed Derek was dead, tweeted:
“You called the wrong hospital. So much for being a journalist.” Followed by a clown emoji.
OMG, had I called the wrong outfit? I called the hospital back on the spot and was re-routed to Max. Again, he told me to call Monday.
When I checked other reports, it was the right hospital.
Soon after, I got a long apology from the CEO of Tracker_Deep. His name was “Alistor Crodley.” Not Aleister Crowley, the English occultist. The handle, which was only created in March 2023, featured a bunch of garbage posts. So I blocked them.
I was so perplexed and frustrated that I held my first Twitter space to set the record straight. Plenty of information you won’t hear anywhere else. Have a listen.
On Sunday, the Federal Bureau of Prisoners wrote to me via email, stating that "for privacy and safety reasons," they are not providing the name of the victim or their medical status." Um, weren't we a bit past this point? Why weren't they confirming it's Derek?
“However, we can inform you generally that the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Tucson takes seriously our duty to protect the individuals entrusted in our custody, as well as maintain the safety of correctional employees and the community. “
Next, I called his lawyer Gregory Erickson of Mohrman, Kaardal & Erickson, and he gave me some exclusive information you won’t hear anywhere else.
