I’ve written extensively on the “Proximal Origin of A Cover-up” and how the US government purposely muddied the waters to hide their involvement at Wuhan and how they’ve been playing with ‘gain-of-function’ aka ‘directed evolution’ for years. They wanted to make you think this p!andemic started at a wet Market in China like in the Hollywood film Contagion.

Now, an excellent report by Emily Kopp adds to the growing pile of evidence this came from a lab. Her findings reveal that American virologist Ralph Baric working with the Wuhan lab planned to engineer a virus that resembles SARS-CoV-2 as part of a U.S.-China research collaboration called “DEFUSE.”

Kopp, who is with the watchdog group U.S. Right to Know, obtained the 2018 grant proposal and related documents via a Freedom of Information request.

EcoHealth Alliance, which received funding from the NIH, led the research project and routed that funding to the Wuhan lab to perform gain-of-function research on coronaviruses in bats.

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) ultimately rejected this particular funding request. Did they find funding elsewhere?

According to an EcoHealth Alliance spokesperson, the research outlined in the proposal never took place.

Regardless, EcoHealth aimed to use modeling to design coronaviruses with furin cleavage sites and strong ACE2 binding. The proposal outlines that American scientists and their counterparts in China were particularly interested in researching coronaviruses with striking similarities to SARS-COV-2.

The new information comes days after Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee obtained U.S. Department of Health and Human Services documents proving that Chinese researchers in Beijing sequenced the Covid virus structure in a U.S. database run by the National Institutes of Health a full two weeks before sharing the sequence with the world. Chinese officials initially described the outbreak as a viral disease of “unknown cause.”

Recall that the first cases in Wuhan were originally categorized as unrecognized pneumonia and there are those like John Cullen that believe there were two pandemics and that one was influenza. Except the influenza vanished from the face of the earth and nobody is making a fuss about it.

While the Overton Window has gone from bat soup to lab leak, the question remains whether this was an accident or intentional. Did this messed-with virus “c[o]me out of the box ready to infect?” I unfortunately don’t think it was a whoopsie. But the masses may never be ready for that level of truth.
