Chemical preservatives basically kill your microbiome.

Whole unprocessed foods are the way to go.

And Polysorbate 80 wipes out the gut microbiome as well. It's in a lot of "foods" 😀

I got serious about my gut / microbiome a few years ago.

- I started drinking organic Kefir 1 liter every day. Olympic brand with 14 live organisms.

- A liter is VERY filling, so some days that would be my 1 daily meal.

- After 4 months I had dizzy spells, and went straight to my doctor. My blood pressure was extremely low 95/50 causing the dizziness. But it was great news, because I was taking 2 meds for high blood pressure. The Kefir had fixed that. So I quit the high BP meds and now I'm 124/74.. perfect normal BP.

- when I read up on Kefir and high blood pressure, sure enough Kefir cures high BP.

- I learned Kefir also cures A LOT of other metabolic issues. The studies are out there.

- After 5 months I cut the Kefir to 2-3 days a week. No doubt the healthy bacteria colonies were well established in my gut, and they also eat and destroy the bad bacterias.

- My arthritis inflammation is also kept in check.

- Way more energy swimming laps now doing 90 minute sessions.

- I thought it was just about the microbiome, but gut health is way more than that.
